building is lots of fun so i'm with building my own house!

Well, see what's good for your situation, for me building my own house is a good choice but, if I find a good house I'll just buy it, or if I like the location of an old house I would buy it & rebuilt it

Well I like modern things, and am impatient so I voted to buy a new house. I thinking building a house just for yourself would be awesome, I never stay in one place too long so I wouldn't want to custom create a house just to loose it in like a divorce or something. lol

i voted for buying an old house and doing it because buying a new house
means buying someones Else's idea of a perfect home DONT THINK SO
i think having it my way is best when it comes to forking a lot of money

the most practical thing you could do is start saving up for, or start building credit so you can get one at all. Things like this cost money.

I'd say buy an old house and do it up to save money as long as it is spacious. You could do it up little by little as your vision of the perfect crib starts to unfold. Painting, renovating and decorating can be dramatic as you go from the "before" and "after" pictures of the rooms.

i would buy an old house and fix it up,it saves money and i think you 'll have more owner's equity in the property compared to a brand new house. but it just really depends on your price range and what you wanna do.
