Okay, your done with high school, and its time for you to get started with your life.
How did you do it?
I was wonderin how everyone got their start in life, makeing it out on their own, how you put a roof over your head, manage to cover your own living costs while goin to a university/college/ or trade school.
What was it like?
(like struggles, achievements, setbacks)
Let's see, First I got excepted by a college (University of Akron) then I got a part-time job working for the college newspaper as a receptionest. Then I got married, had two kids, got devorced, and life goes on. My oldest son is now in college. By the way, college is where I was introduced to anime, LOOOOOONG before adult swim or any of the other anime channels came onto cable.
Wow well let's just say i was one of those kids who knew what i wanted to be and how to do it. I got a scholarship into a good unversity worked a part time job in a fast food joint and a pizza parlor and my grandfather helped me out a bit. wanted to get married then at 18 but something happened to the guy involving a drunk driver and well getting over that was the real challenge since i got pregnant by him but somehow managed to put it al together with the help of family and juggling between college work and being a mom. how i did it well it seemed a blur now but you once you know what you want it all comes into place
Well, mine is not going to be as 'striking' as PhoenixSara's, but is a simple plan, work my way through basic college, then attend an art university. Gaining masteries in all the subjects I want.
I had a daughter when I was 18 so I went to a 2 year college first by going full time and working full time, got an associates moved on to a 4 year college had my second daughter, divorced my husband and am getting by with the help of financial aid and working. If you can help it I wouldn't suggest working through college or at least not working a lot because my grades suffered a little.
Well I started a introduction course for a computer thing then i just got a job and started to work and thats about it
As I write this, I'm pretty much still in college (which, needless to say, can be quite a pain), though I'm also scouting about for a job that doesn't involve long hours and bussing tables. Let's just hope I get OK'd at the place where I'm about to submit my stats. I hear the pay's good, and that should solve most of my cashflow problems.
