How far would you go to learn the truth? (Explain in Detail)

i don't know how other people see it... but personally... i believe the truth is what you want it to be... if you believe it... then i guess it will be the truth to you... nothing will ever force you to believe what you don't accept as the truth... and you can't be sure of what the truth really is...

the only thing you can do, is create your own version of the truth and believe in it... that is your truth, and nobody can take that away from you.

but i'm not saying i tried to search for the truth before... and it did cost me alot... i lost much and gained little... in the end, i wasn't able to get there and was more confused than before...

If I searched for the truth I know my family and closest friends would welcome me back.

There is nothing I could do unless kill one of them to be disowned as a loved one.

I don't think the truth about life is that important to risk everything that makes your life simple. What if you do find it out and tell someone and cause the world to go into chaos?

What if the truth is there is no God. Or, aliens live among us. The Government has been keeping a secret so great, they'd kill to keep it hidden.

If I had no life. If I wasn't in a safety blanket of a suburben future, loving friends and family, with a place in Heaven; I'd go searching for the truth. Just because I'd have no life in society. Searching would give me life, a purpose to which I would not have.

So, if everything I know goes downhill, I'll go searching and come back on here and make a thread. Until then, like you said, Ignorance is Bliss.

I would do anything for my family so sacrificing them just for my own selfish gain to find the truth would be morally wrong for me-- I'd die for my family but I wouldnt want them to die for me-- selfish I know, lol.

I would go as far as possible without hurting anyone, I would do as much as I possibly could to find out.

If everything I knew was a lie, would I even be here now? No, I would have gone crazy && moved to Europe. Basically if it's a lie, I hate it. But, if my whole life was based on a lie, I would not want to know the truth. If you didn't then, why now? I would not risk family or my life to know the truth. There are just some things in this world better off not said at all.

Funny thing that, I have ancestors who were disowned and turned out from their families or even their countries because of that very search for truth. For me it doesn't apply though since no search for truth on my part could result in my family disowning me and I can't imagine a reason I would do so to them.

I would because my family at this time is at war with each other so i would.
