o boy i just spent 60$'including tax' just buying 5 manga books lol i just culd not help my self thay where to good to rezist....ok that whernt but still i like to read lol .

If this include tickets to conventions hotel and what not, in the past I have spent up to 1500 in one year for anime/manga related items

Last year I spent about 300$
By the end of this year, I project I'll spend about 450$

Most I've ever spent on a single piece of anime/manga is a tie between Neon Genesis Evangelion Platinum Collection and the Azumanga Daioh boxsets



Both were $80, but I'm going to take a wild stab and say that as soon as I got Azumanga Daioh signed, it was worth much more, and worth it.

After those two, my 1/7th scale Goth Lolita Asuka Figurine, is $50. Everything else I have is in the 15-30 dollar range.


Total break down (estimation) of the total cost of my collection
53 manga volumes (about 18 bucks ea.) $954
2 box sets, 2 movies: $196
5 wallscrolls, 1 figurine: $150
About 1 year of NewtypeUSA (18 issues, 20 bucks each): $360
Total: $1,660

Course, this is spread out over years of collecting.

Ofcourse, this all pales in comparison to my collection of Star Trek novels, video games (I have 100+, most, if not all bought when they were brand new and around 60 bucks), and TV show boxsets

In the last month I have probably spent about $300 on anime dvds you know box sets and what not. I have credit cards, and I like to use them. Hahaha

Be careful with credit cards, they're a slippery slope that is hard to get back up once you're down it.

And thanx, I'll let my mom know you like her curtains (I have a Newfoundland Flag over my window, I don't believe in curtains)

Too much is the obvious answer. It varies but in order to stay current I have had to give up cocaine. Quess it's a good thing for the wallet that NewtypeUSA shut down. I miss them something feirce. But they rocked and for that I salute them.

Anyway.... I am sooo not an "anime fan"? I guess I thought I was... until these recent threads that sort of set standards.

I am not one for keeping items well intact. I could blame my 2 young kids for this. But, the honest truth is that I am just particularly careless. Maybe its the ADHD... riiight.

I have rented, borrowed, and watched more free anime than anything else. I've probably spent just over $260.00 on anime DVD's in my entire life's span (including rentals). And at this time I don't still own a single one of them. They are either lost, damaged, borrowed out and never returned (damn you Karma), Or I sold 'em. So maybe I'd have to subtract about $60.00 bucks of that previous estimate.

well i can spend up to $300 maybe $400 a year on books, dvds, plushies, anything animeted related. well my mom spends that much. but right now im getting shipped off to my house is a ' Katana '. so i spend a good amount and it depends on the book were talking about for me to go spend on anycost.
