Thread: If you can see into the future

I want to see everything! If a new alternative fuel was discovered, how my family turned out, progresses in science and technology, making sure another Bush didn't become president, find out if humanity ever became environmentally friendly and hope that we dont end up like the movie Idiocracy. There is just so much.

I would see when and how the end of all life on the planet will end (or mybe just the humans) and by what people are saying I would not have to look that far back...

If I could see into the future, I'd look at what my life would turn out to be. If I were with my girlfriend and if we had kids

For me, i would like to see what happen to me and my friends, do i ever get married and what will happen to the world in 20 years time like the fuel problem, disaster or somthing has happen

i believe that the future is vague for a reason... and to add, knowin what's going to happen is not that important to me... i remember a story about two brothers... here i go:

There were two brothers who were both in a well-to-do family. They had just enough to live their daily lives with a little savings to put aside for the rainy days.
One day, the two brothers went to a carnival and were invited by a lady t have their fortune told. They agreed. And then the old lady said that the older of the two will be a rich lad who will live a luxurious life, however, the younger one would live as a worker in a factory.
Knowing their fates, they both took different paths, and changed their attitudes totally. The older brother, knowing that he will become rich eventually slacked off, and the younger one, knowing that he will be poor, worked hard and saved a lot of money just in case the time will come for him to need it.
Years passed, and the two brothers crossed paths again in an unscrupulous situation. The older brother was sitting on the sidewalk begging for alms when the younger brother passed him, his baby boy in hand and his wife by his side (he was now the owner of a famous restaurant).

anyway... knowing your fate will change it eventually, and that doesn;t mean that knowing it is always beneficial... knowingwhatever will happen in the future is a thing we do not need to know...

not knowing when and how the roller coaster will end is what makes the ride worthwhile.

i wouldn't, i have always believed that there is no such thing as a pre determined future we make it our selves in the decisions we make so one decision may change what we want or what may have been. i would rather not know what happens to me but may be a bit curious what my sone looks like 18 years from know lol! call it mommy's curiousity! but just that i want my future to be what i decided it to be same with mykid he decides what he wants to happen to him.

seeing into the futre doesn't seem very practical to me. The main reason being whatever future we see is simply one future of many. There are many outcomes because of decisions made by everyone. So who knows, you might see Global Warming take over, but in reality global warming may be solved and the only thing taking over the earth is a new non pollutant fuel source. who knows?

if i could see into the future, i would never bother. The future is a mystery and will always remain that way.
