Thread: If you had to say one quote about love, what would it be?

This is one of my favorite quotes..and this is actually by Pietro Aretino.....

“I love you, and because I love you, I would sooner have you hate me for telling you the truth than adore me for telling you lies.”

This is basically very self explanatory.and I just love how it is phrased...it makes it sound confusing and you actually have to think about it to get it..and that is how I feel about love..it is very confusing to me...

Hmm... Maybe something along the lines of, "Love is like a giant puddle of mud. Don't fall in it, or you'll be pretty discouraged."

But then there are times I just wanna say, "Without love in our lives, we're nothing but empty shells--Robots."

Love is a touchy subject for me--always has been--so, I usually pancake back and forth.

As quoted ta me one time, "I have never felt a feeling quite like love, nothing else in this world can make you feel like your on cloud nine; while you're falling flat on your face." Yeah, I got that quote from a relative.

All right...mine's kind of humorous but I think it has a somewhat serious side to it if you look at it right...it's more oriented towards the actual persona love...please don't chastise harshly if you think it's "Bad"...I suppose in another sense it's kinda sexist too so forgive me.

That's always been my personal saying about love ever since I heard it the first time.
