i don't care about other stupid A-holes oppinions on the subject, but i think that harry potter will eventually become the best CHRISTIAN LITTERATURE of this generation.

rowling herself said that she modeled her writtings after lewis and tolkien, Opps i gues they forgot that part. of course most christians would never dare READ the books. Rowling retold the story of the crucifixion and resurection in every single one of them. i challenge you all to find all of the symbolical parrallels. or if your too lazy there's a book (forgot the author) called "finding God in HArry Potter" any christians who think that this is evil should READ THAT AND THE BOOKS!

pplz who don't read what they criticize should SHUT THE HELL UP!

thanks to zyta for the sick sig and avy!

While I don't feel getting aggressive over naive people's ignorance was quite necessary...I do have to say that I saw the symbolism and just never really had it confirmed until now. There did seem to be an almost calming spiritualism to the story that I found I liked.

lol! My 7 year old stays up late at night reading them already. He's nearly finished with the 3rd book. He actually learned to read on a large print edition of the first one. We own the movies so he wanted to read it when he was 5 and I didn't see any reason to say no. We have the hard backs for us and the paper backs for him. Though we've only bought up to the 3rd book for him. At the rate he's going through it we'll need to get 4-6 soon.

My take on it? It's a fantasy world no different from Narnia or the Belgariad. As long as the main characters are moral why should I object to it? I only hope I can write half so well when I begin my book.

l Stone Hold l Now We're Cooking! l Thanks to Kaos for the awesome sig!
