I honestly didn't miss this place at all
But that was on me. [insert mod here] had this thing with banning me every chance he and [insert mod here] got.
And other mods would give me infractions for breathing.
So I left.
And never came back!
However, here I am.
It was Michael who made me want to come back though. Not for good, but for some time.
And Deo.
And Chris.
And Rushil.
Ahhh, it is true.
You do end up eventually missing those who you came to know.
oooooh, let's not forget Hassun.![]()
Good God Hassun! you're a mod?! lol. Can you fill me in on whats happened to Caz-chan, Zui Quan, Cybergig... do you remember a little emo guy named Ramen? maybe its silly to ask.
You shall always be partially my inspiration here Hassun, for some strange and cute reason. But nuf drug oriented speaking for now, even if I don't take any other drugs than coming to AO :P
Legacy....this word struck me quite a bit.
AO will never be forgotten as one of the first forums I fell upon long ago. Ther other one was animelayer that is currently RIP and has been for quite some time now...saddly.
It all started with wallpapers, back in...2001 or so. I was in my 11th year (secondaire 4 in Quebec) in school. My father had finally bought a PC that could work fast and go on the net. After meeting a girl who was passioned with Japanese, I started surfing the net with a goal. Eventually, I found www.animebgx.net or something like that. Saddly, that is dead today as well, and for a loooong time now. That place had really nice wallpapers and their news brought me about one of my first forums. As was my rule at the time, I read every terms of agreement and damn were those things long to read. Finally, I had walls to look at and appreciate, people who suddenly wanted to be my friend for no apparent reason and tons of people to discuss with about Japanese anime and the likes. Finally, to make things short, I mostly wrote poetry back then, was a lurker, chated with mods a lot through PM's and with MSN and eventually, after dissapearing for 3 months at a time and missing out on a few important moments by a hair, I got noticed and was accepted as an oldy from the times long gone.
I'm here still, I come check things at least twice a day and even if I don't seem that active, I will be here until I am no more. I will probably click the link up even if by disaster AO is no more and talk about it for the memories it offered to me while I was on the net. It shall not be forgotten!
Shoutout to lurkers who deem an interest to come back here and say hi!!!!
P.S.: This all makes me think I forgot to go check an alternate reality somewhere!!!!
