Thread: My first manga/anime convention!

You mean convention right? Didn't think you were going to become a priest

Any ways, here's some tips:

1. WEAR DEODORANT! Cons can get pretty hot, and I'm sure you don't want to end up smelling of BO. Oh, and you WILL run into someone who hasn't bathed in a few days, but its the risk you take going to a convention.

2. Bring money. Lots of it. There's going to be things that you can get at a con that you either can't get anywhere else, or are extremely hard to get outside of a Con.

3. Bring your own food and water, especially water. Drinks and food are expensive at cons, so be prepared.

4. Bring bags and things to carry your loot home, the bags they have at cons often aren't very good and will rip or tear easily.

I havent gone to a con yet, but thats mainly because I dont know when it is here in Raleigh.... *facepalm* I'm a failure

This is a huge milestone for an anime fan. Could you take some pics and share them with the AO forum. That would be cool. I will let all you know how my first time goes, but it is not here yet. Will you cosplay????? And if so as what????????

Another tip.

Cons usually give out movie posters. If you really want posters, bring a poster tube or box to carry them in. They usually won't give you a rubberband or anything of the sort to wrap your posters up with.

Just a suggestion.

Also, if your planning to cosplay, bring extra clothes incase you get bored of your costume or your pants rip.

My pants ripped the minute I stepped out of the car last Friday (11/03). Luckily I brought extra dress pants.

I've never been to any sort of convention not even a concert, good for you! ^^

Make sure to take lots of pictures for us to see, that places is gonna be crowded to the ceilings.
