  Diamond in the Rough  |  Need chemistry help!!! = ( damm, i keep failing this stupid test cuz i cant freakin get the answers to these 3 questions right, and its the only test standing between me and graduation. Can anyone help a tired mind out? 1)How many moles of magnesium oxide are formed when 4 moles of magnesium react with oxygen? Formula for this reaction: 2Mg+O2 > 2MgO 2)The formula for Potassium Dichromate is K2CrO7. How many grams of oxygen will be in 2 moles of Potassium Dichromate? 3)The formula for sugar is C12H22O11. How many moles of carbon are in 2 moles of sugar? Correct answers will be greatly appreciated. Again, these are the only problems i seem to have difficulty with. TankYu!

(The trick to these kinds of questions is to simply count whats going in, vs. what is coming out..) as an example 1 mole of O2 contains 2 moles of O so as your asked question, it would make a difference if it was Mg2 vs. 2 x Mg, the number of atoms of Mg are the same, but the number of molecules are different... Chemistry is my worst subject, im way better at phiysics, and i like it alot more, but my counselor denied me physics and stuck me with chemistry instead, which im still furious about >= ( i already had the class but nooo! anyway, thanks for the help mr. miyata! (^o^) but im still cunfuzzled.
