Thread: Next Weekend We Are Smoke Free

I think its a great idea, smoking indoors is just a bad idea because all the smoke just settles in the room somewhere with no where to go. I don't go into bars or anything because I can't breathe because of all the smoke. Then whenever you walk outside, you notice, that you smell like an ash tray. Not to mention all the harmful chemical molecules in your lungs and on your clothes. Its just horrible.

I don't think its fair that some people who smoke subject others to it, its just not safe.

I agree, going smoke free will do others so much better! The niccotine that will get in your lungs will slow you down..I despise the smell of smoke..my mother has been smoking for the longest, it's a bit hard for her to stop, but she's trying, which I appreciate. Going smoke free, is a very smart decsion.

I'm glad they get rid of it in restaurants and other places, but I think when it comes to bars, the owners should get to choose whether it's a smoke-free bar, split sections, or smoke. Bars are supposed to be a place to relax, so at least give the smokers that much. If you go to a bar and get grossly drunk then bitch about how the smoke is bad for you, you're an idiot and can either shut up, bitch at the owner, or find another place to drink.

I've never been a smoker, but I do feel for them a little bit. The place I work at still allows people to smoke just outside the building, where a lot of places have flat out banned smoking from their workplace.

Agree that this is a good idea. my mom smokes in the house and it bothers me a lot. expectually when Ima eating. But no smoking in resturant, bars,ect is a great idea. A hard to follow one but a great one.

Agreed. It is hard. It's hard because if a person smokes for a long period of time, they become addicted to the Niccotine..making it harder to quit..But hopefully, they can. Great idea with no smoking again btw.

I am glad to no I am not the only one who goes through that. I don't know why but cigarette smoke in particular burns my eyes and lungs. Fire pits and BBQ don't bother me, but tobacco smoke just leaves me hacking.

i agree with the ban, both my pairents smoak, doesnt matter where at or what time of the day, this bothers me a lot not just cause it stinks and outright disgusting, but it is because they are chain smoakers every day they go threw at least two packs a day it flares up my asma, i agree with dark and would alow the bar owner to deside, but for places for eating come on those places are for eating not smoaking. and if you get a wiff of the smoak when your eating it makes the food in your mouth tast bad.
and i love food!
