My dad just pulled the plug and told me to go do my home work.

It isn't the lack of parental control thats the issue, is the fact that Parents are just plain lazy. They don't interact with their kids, set boundries and rules and then stick by it them selves and a lot of other things. And the biggest thing of all: They let other things like the new time out feature on the 360 help babysit their kids for them.

Laziness. Pure and simple.

Although I do like the fact that the 360 will be able to play Xvid and DivX video files with the same update that brings in this new feature.

Well it is true that everyone wants things to be easier to be handle and all.. technology prooves it... people invent things to make something easier to be done... and now.. this new feature... kinda sound weird but... it could be efficient and effective.. ^^

My parents have never ever controlled me- I could watch porn on the satelite if I really wanted to Therefore I've kinda learned to control myself.

Kinda... because sometimes I just can't stop myself from playing a game... But, if I know I have to do something, like study for an exam, I will put it down, I might even go downstears and plug the broadband thingy out so that I couldn't get on if I suddnely want to bad I'm am not going to let computer or tv ruin my grades... ^^

I think that feature is quite ok... I could use one like that for my games... Because I' m sometimes completely unaware of the time when I'm playing and then I find myself up alone in the middle of the night with sore eyes, tired as hell, study books lying around on the ground... sheesh... that is not good.

Parents should control their children, however, children have to understand why they do it, because otherways- they don't learn anything from that and spend their time just begging for a little bit more time or rolling around the floor, crying... That is even worse than playing games....

Means you can play your fan subbed anime on your 360 if they were encoded in Xvid or Divx (Usually in an AVI container)

@.@ wow... a fact.. lol Parents here are controlling from what i've seen but theres the bad ones which can't be controlled at all.. most parent will just let them do what they want... too stubborn ... they let them be...
