If any of you are a parent you will know what I'm talking about.

When you first have a child everyone is trying to give you advice on how to raise your child. If you take it that is your choice but when is it enough with the advice to where you want to try things on your own? I have 2 children of my own and it seems like if I do anything on my own I never hear the end of what I did was wrong. How are you supposed to tell someone that you like that they are giving you advice but you have things covered? Anyways what are your opinions on parenting? Most people think being a parent is harder then having a job what do you think about that?

I honestly have to admit that I do find it harder to be a mother then to go to work only because of the fact with a job everything is pretty much laid out for you yet with a child anything can happen. They don't come with instruction manuals as much as we wished they did.

    Re: Parenthood

Becoming a parent to me looks like a load of responsibilities.. so, if i was given a choice,.. I want to live for at least 10 years of my marriage without having kids.. but I really want kids though.. xD but those responsibilities just killed my intuition I just don't think i am mature enough to raise kids.. but some say when a boy gets a kid, he'll turn to a man after... it's like a switch o.o

    Re: Parenthood

You have to learn to stand up for yourself. They are your children and you know them and what is best and what will work best for them better then ANYONE else. Period. No if ands or butts about it. Don't be rude or anything just thank them politely for their advice and do what you think/know is right anyways. It's none of their business really. If you don't want their advice you can tell them that politely too "I appreciate your concern but I can handle this." Some people don't get it. Some people have to be told "Look I know how to raise my own child."
I also find it harder to be a mom then to go to work. You get time off work, you go home at the end of the day, and the responsibility ends. With children your always responsible. They always need something. You are ALWAYS mom. You don't get time off. Even when they are gone they are still your responsibility and you always worry about them. And I donno about you but I miss mine like CRAZY any time they are gone. (Don't get me wrong I am grateful for the break it just feels like part of me is missing.)

You never really loved me/You never really cared/It was all just a game to boost your ego/Those feelings never really there/ I'm filing emotional bankruptcy/My heart can take no more debt/Theres no more "money" there to spend. === Besides tee hee SHE loves me!

    Re: Parenthood

In my experience, It seems that you can not escape doing things on your own. Really, hearing peoples opinions is inevitable (Especially the opinions of those who care about you and\or your children). However if those children are in your care there is little anyone can do to prevent you doing things however you choose. You'll bump your head and receive your own consequences. You wont be perfect but neither are the people who share their advice . You want to stop hearing the advice? Psshh that's only what you think.... but sometimes you find yourself lost without it, or wishing you would have listened. My tactic in life, when it comes to listening... is hear it all... take what you can use.... and respectfully leave the rest.
