    Re: Raising a pet

Having pets is cool, no doubt about that.
but when people go crazy by buying things, what I ask is why?
look all a pet needs is the love and affection shown by you, right?
why do people feel the need to shower pets with junk? do they feel
guilty for not loving the pets or do they just do this for the fun of it?
I myself have had pets all throughout my life, but my fav was my persian cat
    Silver.

I have a dog and a bird and taking care of them can sometimes be a tough thing to do, but I enjoy it. My dog is really sweet and wouldn't hurt a fly and my bird is alright, but he has a tendency to hiss and try to bite you sometimes, but he hasn't bitten anyone yet. I guess pets are almost as hard to look after as children, but it's alot of fun.

    Re: Raising a pet

My family has always had pets at one time or an other, we cared and treated them like they were members of the family.

We've had 2 Miniature Schnauzers, both named Max, both died of old age.
2 Cats, Susy and T.W., both given to firends when we had to move.
7 Budgies, Mr. and Mrs Greengeines, Surprise, Puddles, Laurence, Felicia, and Bob, all died of old age
1 Cocker Spaniel-Poodle Mix named Robin who had to be put down because of cancer.
4 Hamsters, their names were Chunky, Frankman, Calvin and Buddy.
1 Rainbow Agama Lizard named Cookie
and finally, 1 Short-hair, Long-hair mix Chihuahua named Bell.

I know that sounds like our family went through a lot of pets, but you have to remember, I'm 22, and I'm the youngest of 4 kids, the oldest of whom is turning 30 in October.

    Re: Raising a pet

i have a cat,a dog and two budgies.i play with all of them(not in the same time)i wash and feed them.my cat has a lot of whims and i can't always understand what she wants, but i'm trying.my dog(my brothers dog)is playful and if i don't play with him he'll come to me and he won't let me do anything because i didn't played with him.the budgies are the most difficult because they want to play and if i don't play or talk to them they won't stop singing,no matter what i do,but they're very nice when they stay with me they stand in my hand or on my had,and they never bite me.
