I try to help people whenever I can. Once, although i've never worked on a Jeep before, i tried to fix a young woman's vehicle enough to get her home. but, i suppose that wasnt really self-sacrificing, was it?.. hmm...
Well, I wasted a day helping a neighbor mow his lawn... LOL
i am always helping people. whenever i see somebody that needs assitance in any way, i try my best to help. Usually, though, i help a little too much. sometimes i give away too much money to help another person and then i get caught in other problems later. but it still feels good to help someone in need.
the most selfless thing i have to do is take care of my mom. she is in a wheelchair because of a stroke and requires utmost care. i have been taking care of her for about 4 years and i love her very much.
I've walked 14 miles to the store in town because i didn't have a car or a drivers license to get my sick grandmother a few liters of Seven Up to help calm her stomach.
Lets see I constantly help out the servers at work, even teh ones that complain about the things I do. I tell myself I won't help the ones that do that, but every time I find it inside myself to help them anyways. I figure its not there fault they blame me when life gets stressed out for them, there only human.
well...i feel like such an ass, but ive never really had many opportunities for RAKs.
I think mine is, after helping my friend through a suicide attempt, i showed her there is a reason to live, and there are people who care. She is now the closest thing i have to a little sister, and i devote much of my energy to either my job, or making her happy.
