Curiousity kills the cat.. lol jk ^^
Well i am a muslim and every aspect of my life is influenced by my religion...
From praying,eating,playing,relationship,... everything..
God? i only believe in 1 god and no other else... ^^
I know that many of the people in this forum are religious, but I'd like to know more than that. I'm curious how religion is part of your life, In particular, to what extent do you practice your religion and to what extent do you believe in it (not whether or not you believe in God but how literal you take scripture). For what its worth I'm an atheist but I have much respect for people of faith and am very curious.

I am a General Baptist. Of course that my beliefs influence in my life. I don't believe on any coincidence I believe that ther is always a purpose for everything that happens in my life, even the people I meet........
I believe in ONE, powerful and very alive God.
Nothing less from Pyro ^_^ Great Sig ^_^ THANK YOU!!!!"show me.... THE BEAST!!!" The Beauty and the Beast movie
it plays absolutely no role in my life. i live life based on my philosiphies, and dont believe in god.
I'm Methodist. And as with most other Methodists, my being Methodist accounts partly for my conservative views with regards to issues on morality and such. I mean, I may spout a lot of nonsense online, but in reality I'm not really inclined to do anything wild. Like lebasiara, I too believe in one God (who could also be viewed as three, but explaining the Trinity takes too much time) - and even though there are many things in the Bible that I am tempted to question (but don't dare to, on account of the fact that I also believe deep down that the Bible speaks the truth), but if there's one thing I won't question it's the existence of God and the fact that He is omnipotent, eternal and loving.
That said... my dad's pretty big in the church scene in Malaysia - which ALSO accounts partly for my being active in church and stuff. Admittedly, I grew up just kind of going with the flow (like a lot of other born-Christian kids did) but along the way I had encounters (albeit not major, life-shaking ones) with God that helped me strengthen my faith. I still do a lot of things that aren't very Christian, but I'm trying to change. What kind of role does religion play in my life? Well, gee, God's like my best friend. I admit that I don't always turn to him FIRST, but if there is no one else to turn to I go to Him, and the best part is, He's always there. Amen!![]()
I'm Lutheran, but I believe that it doesn't matter if you're a Lutheran or a Buddhist, the main thing is that you believe in this higher power.
I really believe in god, I'm sure that he (or she... or it) exists in different aspects, but I don't really believe in all those things that are writen in the Bible, I don't thing any information could be saved for such a long time, but I don't think thas really that important anyway.
I beg every evening and it makes me feel good and happy. And the best thing is that he will always be there form me (at least I like to think so).![]()
im catholic and i belive in my Religion
but it does play a part in your life as everyone knows

I thought I'd be the only Catholic to respond to this thread, but obviously I was wrong! Catholicism is a branch of Christianity. The difference is confusing to a lot of Catholics.. even I'm a little confused on the difference. The only thing we do that is different from other Christian religions is that we take the body and blood of Jesus Christ (bread + wine), and wash away our sins - God forgives us. We also believe Mary was the mother of God, and that Jesus Christ was our savior. Catholic Priests cannot get married, as opposed to Christian Pastors who can have a wife and kids.
My grandmother practically lives inside the church back home. She's very involved in everything that goes on there. So I grew up around a lot of Church teachings and going-ons. It's a nice experience, however, Catholic Churches are always asking for money. =_____= I guess it evolved from the original practices of the Roman Catholic ways.
