Thread: Religon whats the big deal?

Okay first I'm going to ask is what is Jashinism...

2nd because it goes with what our beliefs are. What is more compatiable to what we believe in and how it will affect us in our life..or that's at least what I believe anyways.

every person see's a different truth if we were all the same wouldn't you find it quite boring. plus all religions are conncted to each other in some way. For me I study Wicca. so there's no way in saying whos is right and who's is right bcause every religion has a piece of truth to it so none are wrong and as the person above stated it is also based on your beliefs.

[Rant]You know, thats one of my main problems with Religon. (I'm not an Atheist, but I still don't think there's enough evidence to make me beleive, but thats just me.)What gets me however (especially in Britian) is that why do people constantly argue on how the best way to serve God is. Catholic and Protastant extremists will take every opportunity they can to mock the other, but there all forms of Christianity in the end! I was always under the impression that Religon was based on Forgivness and Redemption, but how's that possible when they can't even share the responsabilities and put aside thier own differances to help others? Why can't they just live in ignorance of each other and be quite content that they've chosen the right path; because all thats said and done; they all serve the same God![/Rant]

That's my view anyway.

Jashinism isn't a religion, just something made up in Naruto. You can believe anything you want but don't try to mingle a serious topic with fanboy-ism.

Anyway...

Religion is necessary to make a functioning society. Without religion, then there wouldn't be much morales as well as order. Without religion, we would all be still living in caves. With the guidance of a higher power, human beings left their caves and grew to understand their surroundings as well as grew to comprehend morality and all that good stuff. Of course, people evolve and they assume that they don't really need religion anymore, but society as a whole owe religion a lot for religion basically was the spark that started lots of big things in this war. (mainly war..) For example, America would never have been made if our forefathers didn't leave Britain because they wanted religious freedom.

Religion is good.

Humans basically need authority. For some reason, we are always looking up, for a higher, more powerful being. Which is why theres always leaders, and gods.

In america, we have several leaders. Mayor, Govener, President. Other countrys have prime ministers, kings, qweens, emperors, empresses, dictators, furhers, popes, ect.

But they all share a common belief system that there is a supreme creator.

Because thats human nature. We create illusions to help us cope with tough times, and to give us a sense of hope for the future. It helps us mantain order, and tells us right from wrong.

However, some people realize this, and see it as false hope. Its false hope that keeps us going, making us believe that after we die, if we live a good life, we will go to a better place.

However, it blinds us from the fact, that when you die, you die. You rot in the ground, without a thought. No thinking, no feeling, no moving, no life. Soul is just another word for human emotion, and thought. The human mind.

Only the human mind can create something such as a lord.

Bullshit! Bullshit! Bullshit! You don't need religion for jack shit. If religion is so great why is the south so bad huh? They are the most religious people in the entire country and they are worst off than everybody else.

People know what is right or wrong without religion. I never go to church unless it's a funeral or a wedding but I still don't go around doing wrong because of my lack of religion.
