I think it's a great idea! But if you actually think about it all things created like that can be turned into a weapon somehow. Atleast we wouldn't have to rely on oil as much anymore.

»See What's New Radio Frequencies Help Burn Salt Water

ERIE, Pa. - An Erie cancer researcher has found a way to burn salt water, a novel invention that is being touted by one chemist as the "most remarkable" water science discovery in a century.
John Kanzius happened upon the discovery accidentally when he tried to desalinate seawater with a radio-frequency generator he developed to treat cancer. He discovered that as long as the salt water was exposed to the radio frequencies, it would burn.
The discovery has scientists excited by the prospect of using salt water, the most abundant resource on earth, as a fuel.
Rustum Roy, a Penn State University chemist, has held demonstrations at his State College lab to confirm his own observations.
The radio frequencies act to weaken the bonds between the elements that make up salt water, releasing the hydrogen, Roy said. Once ignited, the hydrogen will burn as long as it is exposed to the frequencies, he said.
The discovery is "the most remarkable in water science in 100 years," Roy said.
"This is the most abundant element in the world. It is everywhere," Roy said. "Seeing it burn gives me the chills."
Roy will meet this week with officials from the Department of Energy and the Department of Defense to try to obtain research funding.
The scientists want to find out whether the energy output from the burning hydrogen — which reached a heat of more than 3,000 degrees Fahrenheit — would be enough to power a car or other heavy machinery.
"We will get our ideas together and check this out and see where it leads," Roy said. "The potential is huge."
i think this is really amazing but can anyone
see this as a weapon as well? because it
sounds just as dangerouse as it is helpfull.
what does everyone else think?
I'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and all your demons
I'll be the one to protect you from a will to survive and a voice of reason
I'll be the one to protect you from your enemies and your choices son
They're one in the same, I must isolate you...

Grumble Grumble Grumble
Still, violations of the laws of entropy are not allowed. There MUST be more energy input required then energy output. The question is, how much more? and is it competitive with the 15% energy efficiency of normal electrolysis for producing hydrogen???
I'll wait for an outside source to verifiy the results. I've seen too many weird scams on people using water as a power source, salted or not...and len is right. how much energy do you need to either vaporize or aggitate the salt water enough to make it ignite? and as a weapon stand point...they could always burn the oceans...that would be...um...interesting...
Don't Panic
i got that from a news briefing
room they didnt say much moretill they
research more i will post the answears to your
questions as they come out with them.

thats a true story I also say it on yahoo also, and this would work as a weapon Ihave already thought of a means to do soI'll wait for an outside source to verifiy the results. I've seen all you here before at the rise and the fall, lets go down and ring the bell at the Levity Ball.
just because its in yahoo and the newpapers does not mean it actually works...im not discounting the story, I'm just saying, until someone else can reproduce that experiment, in another lab, with differnt people, to prove that it is a viable source of energy, and that it won't suck more power to make less power, i will take it with a grain of salt. some guy in europe claimed to have a engine powered by salt water, but proof of concept was never given...someone else in japan i think also claimed a saltwater engine, and later proved to be a fake...or something added to the salt water, no longer making it salt water...i'll belive it when i see it...
Don't Panic
Hmm.. salt water.. @.@ *runs to the beach* yay~!! free "petrol" xD
i think it is good...i hope they wont close the beach for that... @.@ i love the beach.. xD
Hmmm petroleum is running low...but fresh water is worse at stake,.. :/ only 1% of water in the world is considered fresh water.. ~.~ sheesh...
