i heard that they where basically adult magazines in book form for chicks. and no, i have never, and have no desire to, read them.
Hey, I once read this one romance novel a bit ago. I can't remember the name or author, but I was hoping that if I can describe it, someone can help me out.
OK, here goes!
It's about this shoe designer, female, who is being threatened increasingly lately. She doesn't understand why, but it started when she acquired these old high heel shoes that once belonged to the 'girl' of a gangster. There's a story to the shoes, that the gangster left them for his girl when he had to run, so she could survive w/o his 'income'. There was some secret to the shoes, something they were hiding, but there was nothing to help ppl figure it out. Thus, the shoe designer just wanted them b/c they were historical, and of value to her in only that way.
Anywho, she has to hire a body guard and his team, and the main guard has to follow her everywhere. She goes to teach a class at an institute about shoes. He sits in the back. But she won't let him be invisible. She has him lift her to the instructor's desk so she's taller, way taller, than any of them. She's explaining how the perfect-arch heels can make a woman more sexy. Like a goddess. That the arch they give a woman's foot is the way her foot will arch when she orgasms. This draws his attention, and that of the students. Then she has him lift her down again, and she draws the students' attention to how HIS attention was now drawn to her. It's natural when there is talk of sex that a male is drawn to a sexy female. Yeah, it's a little off subject, but they're all having fun.
so when he's handing her back into the car when they leave the school, he calls her goddess, and she's like, "You WERE listening!" And he's like, "Hell yeah!"
They later find that there are diamonds hidden in a seam in the shoes.
So, does anyone have any idea who this is by, or the title?
Please, please let me know! I don't care if you reply on here, or pm me. But please, if you know what I wanna know, get back to me!
Thank you!

Sorry, Ghosthorse, I did try ta find that novel u were talkin' 'bout. I even asked my mom and sis 'bout it; they're huge fans of romance novels; and they drew blanks. I went ta Wal-Mart and searched for it there, I even googled it and still didn' find anythin' 'bout it, although u might have better luck than me. I tried, man, but I couldn' find anythin'. Again, I'm sorry.![]()

George Carlin:"If you can't beat them, arrange to have them beaten."
I'm terribly sorry. I'm afraid I couldn't find the title either . . . In the meantime, why don't you read a Jane Austin novel? Pride and Prejudice is a good one.
@ Ray - Not all girls like romance novels. I know one (and she's not bi or lesbian if that's what you're thinking) who positively HATES romances.
