Thread: should they rebuild the twin towers

Well they ARE building a whole new WTC complex where the twin towers used to be.

I think as long as it doesn't hit the taxpayers too much the American people will be happy with it. You know, a morale boost of sorts.

yes, hassun, good point. the empty skyline of NY is likely not good to the morale of the ppl who remember the event, as well as what they look like.

looks kinda cool too, i may add. (the neo-WTC)

I know they're building a neo-WTC, but I felt that it should have been left the way it was. It should not have been viewed as a symbol of destruction, but as a reminder of when the entire country bound together in the face of a common enemy. Democrat, Republican; liberal, conservative; Christian, non-Christian - it didn't matter. Everyone was American.

another good point. but you could see it both ways- put in a monument to morn may be good, but some would think it better to rebuild as not to show weakness.
