i have a question for all members of AO.
what do you think about the soldiers that are out in the middle east serving thier country.
im not talking about anything political or of why they are out there in the first place. i dont want any political battles here
i jsut want to know if you think those who are out here fighting are brave, stupid, insane, or whatever you think. guve us some reasons why please.
and nothing political! This is not a disscussion on whether bush is crazy or anything.
and this is for all soldiers out there. whether they are part of the UN or US, doesnt matter. were all out here doing the same thing.

I think its a waste of time being there.. becasue all of the us troops are dying from all these tank bombings.. so thats why its a waste of time for me.

I feel very patriotic about our soldiers. They are basically putting their lives on the line for our country when quite frankly they don't have to. I mean they didn't have to sign up for the army, the marines, or such. I support their courage and bravery.

im proud to be apart of the armed forces here in the middle east
i dont really care for why we are here but i want to do something for my country that alot of people are incapable of doing because they dont want to be here. but the people we put in charge want us here and im going to keep fighting for my country no matter what.

Im afraid for the soldiers in the middle east. I think its extremely brave for them to be there. It takes a special person to believe in their country so thoroughly. I dont agree with the reason they are there, other than I hope they leave Iraq as a better country than it was before. Those people need help and I have compassion for the soldiers that are there to help them.

I considered enlisting in the Marines at one point, but chose against it before September 11th occurred. While I am pro-military any day of the week, the tactics they are using are just horrible. We should be using the advantage of precision bombing and "fire and forget" technology, rather than getting infantry killed day in and day out just because these commanders in charge have played too many Tom Clancy games.

They're doing what they have to, facing oft-invisible odds and laying themselves on the line, both physically and spiritually, so others don't have to and they deserve the utmost respect for that. The conflict they're in may not be the most accepted, but they endure despite that.
