Thread: songs screwed up

Anything done by Crazy Frog is totaly screwed up... But somehow I mostly notice songs that are better than the original...

Let me think... Oh I know!!! I'd say all songs in the movie "The Phantom of the Opera" are just terrible comparing to the original ones I heard by Sarah Brightman... That girl in the movie has such a weak voice comparing to Sarah... And my favourite song (the title one, the one they sing when in the boat- when they meet) was just so screwed!!!!

I would have to say the Eminem version of "Dream on" was a let down... kinda made me disappointed... another would be the Puff Daddy cover of "Come with me" it was a little bit of a let down... but in it's own way it was also good... little bit less then the original unfortunately... those are the only two I can think of at the moment...

some cover of songs are sometime better than the original but i think that nothing is better that a original

Okay, most people know that I love musicals, right? I nearly died when Gwen Stefani took "If I Were A Rich Man" from Fiddler on the Roof and DESTROYED IT!!!! What the crap? It went from a poor Jewish milkman's fantasy to a superficial and excessively annoying reminder of the commericialism and consumerism rampant in the world today.

There's a cd range out in South Africa called Bump. Now, what that cd specialises in is "raping" old classics. For example 'Call on me" by Eric Prydz was already a remix of an old song, but now, what these idiots do is make remixes of remixes!!! How's that for kak!

i have heard a few songs that were aweful like the remix
of kung fu fighting who ever redid the song killed it , and then
there was dust in the wind that guy killed the that song kansas
made the better version of that song.

people need to leave the good songs along because
i belive nothing can be as good as the origanle.

i feel for you when you speak of brian adams' stuff geting desicrated.

and also when someone will use the music of someone else's song for theres.
examples- ventura highway by america's main guitar hook was used by some hip hop chic. yuck.

and also Kid rock's "history of rock" or what not uses metallica.

i only used the song for an example, i like both version. the song i like that got screwed up was toy soldier by Eminem i like the original one by Martika
