    Re: Stereotypes

I can agree with the whole poor brings crime issue. I personally live in a white dominated area, but when you get closer to where the spanish/black neighborhoods reside, there seems to be more crimes.........not that I blame the race either. Hell, my dad had a black friend, who was poor himself, and I guess he got in some trouble, but anyways, he got shot up sitting next to my dad who was in the same car!? jesus lord, that was a crazy night, cops came to my house, lol.

Anyways, it's not the color of the skin, but the poverty level that determines crime rates.
Attitude of AO MODS, according to beast
Because they have obtained that level they are arrogant. You have to kep in mind when you talk about these guys they are kind of dorks who probably didn't excel at much and this is their only outlet to flex their muscles. Their egos would suffer no less so the the forum suffers some more. Watch one way or another they will probably repond to this post with a threat. But there are better forums out there. Re: Stereotypes

Im not racist, but most of the black people here i honestly cant stand, i have friends that are black and i know that they can be decent people, but a certain group can cause anyone who looks like them to get a bad name. It really makes no sense to me.

    Re: Stereotypes

Errrrr. I personally don't really care. People can stereotype all they want. I'm not going to sit around and whine about how contradictory this is to being open-minded, blah blah blah. I mean, hell, I stereotype too. Except that the stereotyping and "judging" (observing?) I do is pretty mild and generally unoffensive unless you're one of those passionate racist types - i.e., the Chinese are more hardworking than the Malays.

If people have a certain "mold" for your race and you don't like it, just break out of it.

    Re: Stereotypes

Stereotype LABELLING people feel insecure themselves thus, they try to protect themselves from attack by attacking others. In truth, they themselves are not sure of things, so they jump into conclusions and try to assure themselves that things are the way their brain tells them it is. I'm just glad that I've not really been attacked by stereotype LABLES, even if I have been, guess I didn't notice.

I mean, so what if you're normal? You're more to the usually seen, that's it. We who are different than THE USUALLY SEEN are proud to be different, we accept the fact, maybe are different and you are trying to cover it up by trying to act normal and attack those who are more open with their difference. Oh yeah, this was directed to STEREOTYPE LABELLERS., I lose my way in things sometimes, haha.

Well, there are many types of LABELLERS and among them there are the stereotypes and blablabla. Basically what steroetypical lableling does is lableling others and making them feel left out and unwanted, so people who lable (LABELLERS) do it among themselves, so they, who are the COMMON and USUALLY SEEN and the MAJORITY end up feeling left out too. Cause, like earlier, their resolution to their insecurity which is LABELLING is temporary and incorrect.

So, let's kick this attitude out.

    Re: Stereotypes

Well as for me. I got lucky, and was Born up here. So I haven't really experience negative (...) "things"

As for Labeling. Like many have said. Its just a way to Label someone so that they feel they know someone. If you know what someones all about you won't fear them.

Its very wrong, and pretty much silly, but many are like that. You can't know someone. Unless they want you too~

    [Quick Story]

I've been told I act white, because my friend Sarah at the time was acting the stereotypes black. She slipped up and said the "N" word, and I asked her not to. Then some girl said "Why do you care you don't even act black. Sarah acts more black them you."

Of course I said. "Since you dress like a slut you must be White trash yes?" Replying that there is no way a person should act if they come from any Race.

    There just stereotypes.

Sarah them said sorry to me, and the story ends there. We put it behind us, and lived 8th grade though. [She went to a different High school] *cries*

I am glad it went that smooth. Some don't have such a happy ending.

    [On Topic]

If someone really wants to label someone, then they have no chance in knowing them. If you want to group a bunch of people into a Group, and say there all like that. Then there's no room for "Unique" in you at all either.

    Unique as in Rebel.

I really don't care for labels. I've learn from youth since I am black; that there are always going to problems. Just move on with your life. I won't let anyone hold me down, and I don't have time to be caring about "Haters" May God has mercy on all there souls. Having Haters just makes me feel special. Like do you really put your life into trying to hold me down? Lame -_- Don't you Just Envy me?

    [And again]

Sexism is very harder. *Sniff* T^T

    Stereotypes on women. *hides*

    Re: Stereotypes

I'm a nerd. I'm proud of it. I'm overly modest, have preconceived notions about the sacredness of marriage, and apologize too much. That's just who I am. If people have problems with it, let them make fun of me. I don't listen to them! Okay, so I do listen to them . . . and it hurts. Don't tease someone about anything: not their hair, not their clothes, not their weight, not their ANYTHING. Some people can take it as a joke; others keep it inside them for YEARS.

    Re: Stereotypes

ya, i think its a sort of racism.
i mean, ye,you can judge a person, but for crying out loud, keep it to yourself dont try to persuade others. and if you can, act normal. but hey, its a sad truth , we tend to judge others,by color, race, accent, by virtually anything we could think of!
and the downtrodden ones will try to avenge the other...
