Street Justice, What Are Your Thoughts On It
Well there was a crime in which an unproductive youth was on their way to do some good old underage drinking. Better to do the funnest wrong than the difficult right. Well surprise, surprise the same thugs she meant to participate in anti-social behavior with ended up not being nearly as cool as the folks in the movies. This night it would be her that was about to become a victim. The women or really girl in question was beat very viciously. And raped.
One of the men in my shop asked me what I thought about this. My response was that I don't care what happens to useless street trash that decides to be part of the problem with society. I mean the people who did the beating and raping need to be put away, for certain. But I really could not care less that on that night it was the offender that got taken to the hospital. Better them than the people I am sure she would normally go onto victimize.
As far as I am concerned when such people participate in activities and get their comeupins the folks that did it need to be put away to protect the potentially innocent people they may target later. If someone voluntarily chooses that lifestyle serves them right when their turn comes. And while citizens taking the law into there own hands is how many gangs got started so that is the down side. That is my opinion though and I would like yours.
What do you think of it when criminals fight amongst eachother, and especially the occasions where they hurt only eachother?
Is it ever right for someone to take the law into their own hands (think Kira from Deathnote)?

That's a weird coincidence how you mentioned Kira, my poem "That's It" was partly inspired by that raping of the girl by 20 adults and young adults. Yes if only there was a way to erase such evil as this from the world. The thing that sickens me the most was that bystanders were cheering them on and taking videos with their cameras. It's a sick world, and "I was drunk" is a pathetic excuse.

But that is the point though. That girl who got raped was trying and did succeed in breaking the law. I can't feel sorry for someone like that. She drank the poison she helped create by being part of a growing group of anti social delinquence.

I think I would be justified if I saw a woman being raped and I sprinted towards the alley she is in to help, in fact that is what I would do(other than perhaps a quick 911 call). Although I agree that it sickens me when people say feel sorry for a person who had the incompetence to try such a risk in the first place. Natalie Halloway is a perfect example. I in fact graduatred from the highschool she was in. Many people who hear her story think she was some innocent sweet girl who was taken by the clutches of evil. Not many people have actually dug and found out she ditched her class on an aruba field trip, had random stranger drink alcohol from her navel, and went off to have sex with a strage man. It is a sore subject at the highschool I went to, but it was in fact, partially her fault. Although I would easily send the man who killed her to jail if I could.

Taking law into their own hands? = WRONG
I personally think that people should follow the system and not just go out there blatantly killing someone or beating anyone up just because someone said that the person is guilty.
People should take laws into their own heads for starters >.< everyone just love to skip the rules.. that's rule was made for.. to be broken they said o.o wth?? If there was no rules... how would this world be? In order? I doubt it! >.< We mud monkeys can distinguish the good and the bad yet "a number of us" select to abandon the "rightful choice / rational thinking" instead.. o.o
Though.. taking law into the action on our hands too would be wrong, unless it was deemed necessary or at the highest priority at the moment.. or its what we call.. avoid or fight against the ummm hmm what's the word... bad happenings? uumm.. >.< I need my dictionary... oh well.. i feel too tired to think anyways >.<
___________
Yea.. poor girl indeed but it was partly her own fault for doing something she shouldn't >.< If she were to skip her booze she wouldn't have ended up in that "violent" party o.o or even better... chose the right friends to hang with? Just because some cockers drink and look cool puffing out smoke and weed.. don't mean they are cool.. Flash news everyone! They are actually bringing them selves lower than any low lives when they drag someone else to do what they do...
Oh.. rape cases seems to get even more violent these days.. bondage porn wasn't just adequate anymore it seems.. people love "realism" more huh?
Re: Street Justice, What Are Your Thoughts On It
I think that there is absolutely no justifiable excuse for rape. No matter what the victim has 'provoked' or done I think that there just isn't any justification. Even if this girl was victimizing others, she's still very young. Of course she should receive a proper punishment for the illegal things she has done, but just because she's a criminal she deserves what ever she gets, no matter how young and misguided she is? No in my eyes. I do not want to sound like I have pure bleeding heart for her, but I have some sympathy.
However, I am split on the note of 'taking the law in your own hands'. If I saw someone in help, I'd help them somehow, but Light/Kira went looking for it and played God, which I am against. If I can help someone, I will. But I won't go and become a vigilante or take full things into my own hands. (probably call 911 or get more help somewhere, or some how.)
Re: Street Justice, What Are Your Thoughts On It
Relationships are often misunderstood these days! It is terrible this happend, and even if she was an asshole she probably didn't deserve to get raped. At least we have the law to sort these things out.
Re: Street Justice, What Are Your Thoughts On It
Look, If i was face with that Choice and I saw one of my freinds getting Beaten up or riped or rob i know that could be wrong in the eyes of the law, But i would go full punisher stlye as (in the marvel comics) on the people that tried to hurt my freinds or Robbed my favoite store.
