Thread: Superstitions

I'm going to start with the black cat. It is suppose to be unlucky for a black cat to cross your path, and to undue the bad luck you must cross the black cats path. It would be funny to watch someone try to chase a black cat so they can cross it's path.

Breaking a mirror is the only superstition that makes sense to me.

It makes sense because if u look in a mirror and you break it, it's like your symbolically breaking youself.

Hmm good theory...there i like the way you think.. Breaking your self literally by breaking a mirror...

Ahh.. Black cats.. that is the one that still exists today.. even in many cultures.. like mine...

We believe that if a black cat crosses over a grave during full moon.. the dead will rise again.. that is also...bound by many rules and regulations... can't happen just like that.. but i don't believe in that superstition..

Egyptian treat cats... especially black ones like god.. they love their cats so much they even mummified them... ^^

I wonder if there are many other cooler ones with cats... I love cats..

interesting... that is a nice one... I find that very absurd... There is a superstition i learned from an anime called Mokke...

It says that when cats gone missing.. they are not dead.. instead.. they went up to the hills to "train" o.O and the oldest of the cats there will have twin tails...and will aquire special powers.. o.O i don't know if that is true.. but from what i see.. the whole anime is based on Japanese superstition.. can anyone tell me if this superstition has really been practiced?

ah Superstitions, cant excatly remember but i heard once that a guy was afride of the number 13 and he stayed in bed the whole day andwas afride of the number 76 as it added up to 13 and died 13 minute before the day was over.

Breaking a glass while proposing a toast

Putting a shirt on inside out

To encounter a gravedigger coming towards you. Usually this means there will be a severe illness.
