Teenage Girls wear entirely too much make up. I remember plenty of girls in high school who looked like clowns. Anyway do you guys think I'm crazy or have you noticed the same thing.

No your not crazy. Its been going on for decades. I went to high school in the 80's and they did the same stuff. Some of the girls look like they put in in with a paint brush. I dont know if they still do it today, but the proportion were all out of whack. Way too much blush and eye shadow. Funny thing is some were so pretty and didnt need it.Originally Posted by Shodokan
Yes I notice when I was in the grade 7 level. Some of the people I know wears make up. Even we had a graduation ball some of the popular girls are wearing as well. Well I hate make up. It makes my face even more uglier. XP Anyway I am to young to wear make up I am 14 years old for crying out loud. If I will put make up I might die because of that. XP
Well, i don't think that your too young for it. Id let my kid wear it when they entered high school. Just nothing extreme. If they just put a little blush and a light coating of a neutral eye shadow, it would look ok. Just so thye dont look like a clown.
I agree girls can look like clowns. They should just put light make up on, not too much. Well as for me I don't make up, neither do most of the girls at my school. And if they do we're like whats the occasion? lol
My mother would murder me if she ever caught me wearing make up. I'm not going to state my age, but I will say that I'm still a minor. Anyway, I don't need make up. I'm not concieted or anything, but I've been told by enough people how pretty I am. Even if I wasn't on the pretty side, I still wouldn't let make up get the best of me. I feel that is what girls are doing nowadays. Almost all of the girls that I know wear make up. And I honestly do not understand why. Most of them are really, very pretty.. and do not need it. However, if a girl wears make up for a good few years, once she doesn't wear make up.. she notices that she has wrinkles under her eyes, and her skin isn't as healthy or smooth looking as it was before she started wearing make up. Which is why my mother doesn't want me to wear makeup. I don't need it. NONE of those girls need it. It'll ruin their faces by the time their in their twenties. You just become ugly after so many years of wearing gunk all over your face. You don't give it a chance to breathe. PLUS, even at schools.. when there's a day that's just "off", and they forget to put make up on.. they seem naked and not so pretty. Because we are so used to seeing eyeshadow and concealer on their faces, once it isn't there anymore.. it appears as if there's an emptiness. PARENTS are to take the blame for it, though. They're the ones who are getting loose and letting their daughters wear eyeshadow, blush, and bronzer. THEY DON'T NEED IT! If it's okay with the parents, and they do not care.. why should the kids care? Even if it's not as much "so they don't look like a clown." Lipstick becomes experimenting with darker shades, which becomes trying out different types of concealer, which becomes putting on some eyeshadows which becomes trying out some eyeliner...
It's just not worth it.
Some girls need to wear more make-up....
Honestly, I don't care. I mean if you go to the point of looking like a clown you need to lay off, but the only turn offs I have about some girls in my high school are ones who dye their hair a really ridiculous color when their natural color was way better, or when a fair skinned girl tries to tan at tanning salons; always looks terrible.
How much is too much? It's a pretty subjective question.
I use makeup, loads of it sometimes, but it prolly isn't so noticeable because I'm pretty good with makeup. I personally don't know what too much makeup is. I don't care how makeup someone uses. What matters to me is whether or not the person's skilled or not at applying the stuff.
