I have to say the me and test don't mix well. I just start to freek out and then I have to remind myself that its nothing. I also have to ask the teacher or professor if I can take the test some where else and have it read to me. Once that is done I have to say that my anxiety is gone. All though I sometimes try it in the classroom it is just a different atmophier for me. Which also makes me look around to see who is all done before I am. So I would deffential agree with divien. Ask your teacher or professor if you can take the test/exam somewhere else or have it read to you.

I was never good at writing down the answers I mean my teacher could ask them to me and I would get it correct but when she asked me to write it I was at a stand still. I thought I needed to study even more but soon gave up on studying at all. Soon it came to where it was easier to have it read to me and to write it then read it myself. Now after going to GED classes to finish high school I'm able to concentrate and do everything myself. It didn't help that I was easily distracted...you can ask some of the friends I talk to on the phone. I could be doing something and then all the sudden I could start doing something strange like poking myself.
you know that is somewhat opposite on the fact of studying (what is studying? Do I know this term) either way If I don't study but do the reviews and stuff for that chapter or just take notes it is normally enough to get me A's on the test. like with this last course in collage I took, it helped taking computer repair in JC, (Job Corps) I just did the reviews in the chapter, then the chapter review and pulled off a 95% on the first test 92% on the second and the third was the worst because I didnt even finish the Chapter Review (82%)

    Re: Testing Anxiety.

For some are just naturally smart and they don't have to worry to much on revising before exams. But for people like myself it is hard to remember most of the important things. I was told once in math class that I can good at the complicated questions but don't too well in the easy questions. I guess I have a complex mind and look the for harder answers in questions.

I am jealous of people who are naturally smart. I have to work hard to get average grades. Even at University I put more effort into my work and getting things right where other people got higher marks no problem. It made me feel dumb because I wasn't able to work out where I was going wrong and in the end I just figured that maybe the course wasn't really for me but I tried hard anyway.

    Re: Testing Anxiety.

A study that some of the students of my school did proved that chewing gum helped relieve test anxiety. I'm not sure how it works, but Iused to have it and now I chew gum when I take a test and I never have trouble. You should try it.

thanks for that Rabbits, thay might be something else to try as well, hum seems alot of people take tests differently then others, and to answer you ont that one sazzy I think that you do better on getting hi grades in a class that suites you perfect then anything else. I dont think one person can get hi grades on all of the tests. Unless they are a good listener and remember what is told to them in the lessons of the class.

    Re: Testing Anxiety.

I often get testing anxiety. What I do to handle is just try to take a deep breath and relax before I get to where ever I have to take the test. When I get there I chew gum while I'm taking the test. That always works for me.

Our love will go on until the end of time. I will always be yours and you will be mine.
