    A tsunami rose and did some damage in bengkahulu and palembang...

    If you haven't heard or would like to read about it you can go here...

    Tsunami Disaster in Malaysia and Thailand

    Places near Penang are expected to get hit also... -.- I'm sorry Ray and I hope you and yours safe..

    Hmm.. it seem it did not hit penang... but we are still on alert... hmm ^^ nothing bad happened here...im very curious of the aftermath in Indonesia second most powerful quake

    Padang was the closest large city to the quake centered at bengkulu. dude thats (Padang) my mothers home town..and my uncle just left from a visit there last week, thank god. have no ideal whats going on, its still chaos, alot of phone lines are down...i havent been to Padang in like 5 years, but knowing the construction practices, i know alot of the place must be trashed by now. I do know that my grandmothers house should be in one peice, its construction was under taken by my great-great grandfather, and over engineered bacause of the unstable ground that makes up all of Indoniesia...so i pray that she and her horde of servents are safe...kinda glad im in California...but then again we get quakes too...
