Thread: Are u really one of us?

A fan, aficionado, or supporter is someone who has an intense, occasionally overwhelming liking and enthusiasm for a sporting club, person (usually a celebrity), group of persons, company, product, activity, work of art, idea, or trend. Fans of a particular thing or person constitute its fanbase or fandom. They often show their enthusiasm by starting a fan club, holding fan conventions, creating fanzines, writing fan mail, or promoting the object of their interest and attention.

I'm an anime fan because I love the story lines, and character designs. I'm also a fan because I dedicate some of my time to helping administer a little known Anime website, you might have heard about it (Here's a hint, you're posting on it).

Because of that, I have spent thousands of dollars on anime/manga, and I've even traveled hundreds of kilometers for anime (Going from where I live to Calgary takes about 2 and half hours, each way).

The contents of your room, or whats on your wall doesn't make you a fan, those are just byproducts.

I'm moving this to the cyber lounge since it's not about a particular anime.

Yes, I'm more of a secret anime fan, because if you saw my room the only thing anime I have is the dvds on my bottom shelf behind regular movies. ^_^

I am a fan, not a geek or fanatic. I do not have anime wall paper all over the place nore do I have tons of anime or monga simply because I know I would probably rifle through them once or twice and would rarly go through them again and then they are just taking up space. Thats the kind of person I am on ANYTHING I have, even thoughs I am interested in.
I like the art style of anime and monga simply because it is very smooth and beutifally done, like wise with most of their story lines. Most shows I watch are anime only. I have also a rather large amount of pics as well (yes all of which are female )
I have no problem, nore do I care if people know if I like anime. My brother doesn't like it and I have to put up with him and it doesnt bother me all that much. Plus its a good weapon to us to get him out of my damn room, all I have to say is "I am going to watch my anime." which he then gets up and leaves.
I also like to draw anime as well, nothing spectacular just simple posses and such is all, how ever I really have not had much time to do any more because of work.

I am a fan of all different kinds of anime from the old versions to the newer versions of it. I just never thought about this and i been a fan since i was little i do not want to reveal at what age because you would never believe me on this one and for the primary into this post i think that being an anime fan can be anyone in the site or outside of the web.
