Thread: Urban legends!!

A~ah.. That story of yours.. It's quite eerie. (Laughs)

I don't think I have any urban legends to share.. Although I read a lot.. I have seen none so far.

But I think that some urban legends are true. It's just that as the story passes down, people tend to change the actual story.

Yes, urban legends exist. I am an example of an "urban" legend. A Legend that lives in the city

Dumb jokes aside, they are usually not true or original stories that got twist as Aya said. And I am pretty sure that everyone who goes to college will have their own campus legend. Mine involves a girl that was raped and murdered after a night class in one of the building's phone booths. Of course that is a good source for story because the booth no longer has a pay phone and the thing is never lighted.

I pass by that booth a few times myself at night, and I for some reason I would always say the word "geez" in my mind. Scared? Not at all, cuz I was neither the one who raped or killed her. So even if it's true I wouldn't be the one she kill or rape.

Well urban legends huh... well i got a lot on my place ^^ I'll share 1 first then..

Hmm...It is said that this road,...a main road on my neighbourhood is...haunted It is always very silent and a bit eerie at one spot of the road..the spot which has the most accidents...already 2 people had died there...i witnessed one my self ^^ so this is a fresh outta the oven Urban Legend xD actually no...been happening for years before i was born already ^^

So there was once said this road is placed next to the the Japanese Army camp (Japanese was on Malaysia for 3 years and a few months during the WW2) and they are some brutal bunch of army i would say...according to my granfather...hey...beheaded people on that spot...and sad to say..it is only 400-500 metres away from my grandad's house... ahehehe...

Then they made a road over there and many people claims to see weird things happening...and back to the accidents...the weird happenings are said to cause it..

Hmm still happening till this day... ^^ but i see nothing there... though..

A~ah! Our country has a lot of urban legends about the Japanese occupation killing/torturing our people~

Pontianaks are very popular...

Pontianaks are apparition of a woman who died while giving death with a vengeance upon some one (eg. some1 who caused her death ect ect) then this "woman" will haunt the person who caused it or have vengeance upon and curse his/her whole family....

and the legend says that if u hear a pontianak's cry...try to determine if the sounds is close or far...
If it's loud.. then she is far away... if it's slow...hehe..ur in big trouble.. ^^

(they are something like banshees) ^^

What will a pontianak do to you in case it chances upon you? And how do you get away from it...?

i will go first to show you what i mean by this
a couple hired a baby sitter to watch there 2 month old baby
while they went out to a dinner party they left a number for
the girl to call if they was an emergency.

well a few hour later the mother got a bad feeling about something
not sure what but she had to call the house to check up on the baby
well she called the the baby siyer answeard , she said the baby was fine
and dinner was in the oven cooking for when they got home .

the mother hung up and went back to the dinner and was begining to
get an unerving feeling since she ner they would be eating dinner out
so she talked her husband into leaving the dinner party early and go home
when they got there , a horroble smell was feeling the house .

the baby sitter was sitting on the couch waisted on drugs there were laied out on the table , after searching the house for what seems 30 minuts
they followed the smell to the kitch where they found the baby in the over cooked to death , the baby sitter had put the baby in the over after getting high on what ever the drig was.

ok this is mine and do you think urban legends are made up to scare kids stright from drugs or what ever reason or are they actually true or party true from how things get lost in retelling the story so much?

other were made by adults to explain the things that werent physically possible to explain
