well everyone, now i have a new reaosn to enjoy valentines day! at 7:51 P.M. on v-day my brothers baby was born! 9 pounds 11 ounces and 22 inches long. thats a BIG baby.lol. i'm going to be posting pics in my gallery so feel free to scope em out. also just to add a lil something, i feel valentines day is a lot about romance but honestly the biggest day in the year for me is my anniversary so yea... nothing trumps that day because that day is more important than any other holiday or celebration. anywyas, yay for madeline! my brothers newborn daughter's name is Madeline Paige Wixon. anyways, hope you all had a glorious valentines day and i'm wishing you the best!

I really don't understand Valentines Day. If you really love someone you shouldn't have to be coerced into telling that person specifically on 1 certain day of the year, just because Card Companies want more money.

I agree. I never used to care about Valentines Day but now that I am married it is a nice reminder. Sometimes life just gets so busy you forget to take that little extra time out for each other. Having a day set aside makes you stop and take that time. It's not the money or candy (though the half off sales on chocolate the next day are nice) it's the reminder to show how much we care, to spend a little extra time together and remember all the reasons we love each other. It's also not just about couples. Just like in grade school when you handed out cards to every friend you had and then some it's nice to remember all the other people in our lives we love and tell them so. So smile, someone loves you.
I loved V-Day last year because I had my chick at the time. Shortly after that though she broke up with me and I was depressed for a few months. Its not helping this year that my new girlfriend(about 4 months) is off in Pittsburgh at the Art institute and I'm stuck here in Nowhere, Ohio 3 hours away.

I HATE Valentine's Day. Its so unnecessary. Why do you need one day to proclaim your love when you could do it all year long? I just can't stand the holiday and its not because I never have a valentine.
