verbal assault, another way to sue someone and get money! when i was younger (yes i'm old!!:shoot2: me pleeezzee!!) verbal assault didn't exist. if you hurt someone's feelings they did right back, (or kicked the crap outta you). now if you speak ill of someone even behind their back they drag you into court, i wish we had a reset button 4 our soiciety, or maybe we could all just MAN UP DAMN IT!!!!:laugh:

Now hold on a minute! I don't mean that in a Malaysian context... seriously, it doesn't matter where you are, there's bound to be insults and stuff ranging from mild to seriously offensive. It's not something you can just stop, so I say just bear with it. Malaysians are an extremely conservative bunch in comparison to, say, Americans. I'm pretty sick of all the jeering I keep hearing here. Sure, it's annoying when people take the lift up just ONE floor, but you don't have to make such a big deal out of it. Geez.

Ever since we evolved the voice boxes we have, our species has done our best to refine the spoken word into yet another weapon in humanity's arsenal. It is one of the more dangerous ones, one that has sent our species through all sorts of hell through the centuries, yet..............
It has one glaring weakness, though. That weakness is a strong mind. A strong mind creates the required mental barriers that insults can't penetrate. Keep those minds strong kiddies........
It does help to have a strong body to back up that strong mind, as well. Just in case you feel that need to react to an insult.......and not get beat up in process. I've shrugged off many insults over the years. Most of it is meaningless drivel to me, though a lot of my friends can't seem to think that way. I've watched them go nuts over some small shit. I found it amusing. *shrug* Guess I'm "more enlightened"..........then again, I just could be full of shit.......your call, ppl.
I suffered from a LOT of verbal assault and abuse in Elementary school for really immature and stupid stuff too. Now, I happen to be incredibly verbal, but I use it as a defense and so far no one has tested what I've said to them.
Any kind of assault is immature and petty. I never understood why people even do it.
