Re: The voices in your head
Uh, I can't really say. Maybe you have a really active mind? =/
I hear voices in my head all the time, but these "voices" are actually my voice. =D
Like, whenever I make a mistake, the voice in my head talks too or whatever.
Although, there was a time when I was really depressed and heard other voices in my head. But I can't really say what causes it because I think different factors contribute to it.

Re: The voices in your head
If you are talking about schizophrenia, technically, there really isn't a single cause for it. It can be trigger by the environment, genes, malfunction of hormones, or psychological drama.
In most cases, it's usually a response to protect yourself. If a person hears voices that are not there it could be that the person feels alone, or needs someone to talk to that isn't there. Or, it can also be your body crying out for help and is giving catharsis to itself by manifesting voices or images that give you stress and it takes away from the stress of reality. The mind is a complex, always transforming organ.
As for hearing your own voice, it's part of the subconscious that we can't control. The subconscious has yet to be discovered fully.

I hear voices in my head too. Like right now.
But it does't mean I'm mentally sick or what.
This is just something we have since we were kids. (Well that's what I believe.)
Re: The voices in your head
I've been having more than one voice in my head, but that comes from a multi-personality disorder I have. It use to be uncontrollable, but over the years I gain some control. Unfortunately, if I lose control of my emotions, I slip into a mind state and one of the others take control and can be destructive. I'm not sure if you mean something like that.
Re: The voices in your head
You mean like an inner monologue? Cause i do that all the time, it's just easier to organize my thoughts if i vocalize them in my head. Sometimes i do it like a conversation but both "people" are me so it not really like voices.
It's probably not the same thing as your are talking about.
But, if it sounds the same, I wouldn't worry to much about it. I think it's pretty normal.
Or maybe that just mean your as crazy as me. O.o
