2. You have relatives that lives during the war? Heard stories about the war? Post about them.. share with us the tragedies of war.. and what happens during the war...

Well I know what you meant... but what my post is saying more to... "if you felt peace.. or if your country is peacefull tell us how you feel about it and about the places which have not granted peace yet"
Well.. im pretty glad that my country is quite peaceful... though politically now it's quite unstable..inflation going on... and sheesh won't be long before peace is interrupted.. many foresee this... lol ^^ going to be in a big economic crisis in less than 50 years... :/ but so far.. the peace my country achieved, the stability in economics i enjoyed, the prosperity my country granted,... was very great... I got enough education, enjoying my days living with no worries, looking forward to the future... it is quite a great feeling yet... most of us forget and never reminisce what war brought us and never care about the world and what happens to others... imagine if it happens to you... sheesh.. : /

Where do you live i live in the us and i fell pretty peaceful even if we are having a war for a couple of reasons we are fighting iraq so if they try to attack america we will have been prepared 2 cause i live in arizona so if they do attack probaly wont be here might but probaly not.
Eh, the Iraq war doesn't really count, US can get out any time they want and there is no special need to really be there, I am sure they would clear things up there sooner or later... In each country there must be some period of inner fights and if you baby with them through that, it will never be an independent country, though maybe that will be fine with US. But ok those are just my opinions and I haven't done a reaserch about this topic for a long time, so no offence and pls no attacks on me, k?just my opinion.
Well in Latvia, there is peace, but we are living near Russia, so we don't really feel that safe at all. My parents are sometimes a bit paranoid with this and lets not even talk about my grandpa. We still get some politic attacks from Russia, for example, they created a big fuss when Latvia changed the law and didn't pay for education in another language... gee...
Also my parents are awaiting future problems from Russia (yep, even war),even dreaming about buying propert somewhere in Western Europe.
As for stories about war and stuff, my grandfather took part in World War II, and he was on Russia's AND Germany's side for some time... total madness...
Well he told us about long walks in snow and stuff... And about the same food every day- cabages, cabages, cabages... and about putting some alchacol in tea and stuff.
He also told me bout how he was the only person who could write in his division and how everyone asked him to write. There must have been other stories, but I was too little and inconsiderate at that time and now it's too late to ask.
But my dad is a teacher in the defence academy and therefore we have tons of books about warfare and some of them are quite interesing. And he also shows us movies about tanks and planes and stuff, and sometimes I watch movies about war with him (I love to watch about the Blizkrieg attack)...
There was one great show about odd weapons of World War II!!! It was just grand. Some weapons included loud sounds that just stopped people in their track with the terrible sound, and there was a special weapon that created hurricanes (don't remember how; it was made to bring down planes), also it showed the Japanese trying to create destroying radio waves (lazers), but they got radar wafes (but they didn't find any use of them... ~.~ how silly...). And one of the best parts was when they created a huge plane which had to take a lot of men and even some tanks over to UK), but they needed to somehow get it up, but one plane didn't have enough strength... so guess what they did? They merged two planes together- cut off the wings and then made them together... >.< It was hilarious!!!

Yes i have a grandpa who was in it world war 2 and does not like to talk about it he told me he just rembers alot of death he was one of the guys who went out on to the beach he went onto the Omaha Beach he said but really nothing else .
"War! Huh!! Good God!! What is it good for? Absolutely Nothin'!!!"LOL!!
I don't really have any good war stories, but I DID almost get sent to Bosnia. As I was finishing my advanced training for the army, I saw on the news that they were shipping troops to Bosnia to help with their conflict. I'm already packed up and I'm thinkin' to myself, "Why, God?" THEN, right after that news article, I hear that Saddam was talkin' a big bucket of trash! Mind you, this was back in 1998...
So, I'm thinkin' that they're gonna send me to my doom; come to find out I'm goin' to Hawaii! LOL! Good call, Uncle Sam.![]()
So you arent there yet scary if you have to go over there you know i would rather though go to that war than any other war the us has been in you know not as much death and not as many people cause its mostly over so your lucky if you would be just going now instead of going a couple of years ago you know.
