I am officially excited! Its so monumental. Such a big deal. However, I am still scared to death. But.....

Oh boy. Here we go. I'm loving the history feel, I'm just wondering what light that history will be in. I'm both awe-struck, and have a sense of dread. I don't think the world is going to end, but I'm certainly wondering where president-elect Obama will be taking us. And am not looking forward to higher taxes.

I just came back from Grant park and it was PACKED to the maximum. Fences were up, no one could walk, over 100,000 people where there and it was cold. BUT, the speech he gave had me and my family and friends in tears. I NEVER thought I would see one of my own as president in a nation that once considered us subhuman. It felt so wonderful to see those obstacles overcome and have he byproduct of the nation's FIRST AFRICAN-AMERICAN president. It is parties all over the chi and I just came back from a juke party that was held in millenium park while we waited for PRESIDENT Obama's speech.

Congratulations Barack Obama!!!! Chi-town loves you!

Hurray!!!!!! Now maybe we can actually have some change that will mean something. Congradulations President Obama!!!!!!!!!!!!
