You may find me pretty strange when I say this but I meditate. Helps rid myself of the thoughts. Something I do a lot in fact more to calm my nerves and get myself focused on other matters.
I have been known to lash out on people though. It has only happened on one occasion, but somehow became a reputation.

... afterwards i start drawing and it calms me down.
