    What Ruins Your Hair?

Lately my family has been saying that they regret doing things such as dying, curling, straightening, and blow drying their hair. The reason being that it has ruined their hair. Is this true that it messes up your hair when you do something other the wash it? Is there a way to keep it from messing up my hair? If not then what would you recommend?

What messes up your hair the most?

    Straightening
    Curling (perm)
    Dying
    Blow Drying

Also why do people continue to do it when they regret it because it ruins their hair?

Ok I see well that still does not answer the question. It does not stop me from doing this stuff but I was just really curious because my family says one thing then does another. I just think it's funny. In my opinion I think that straightening your hair is what ruins it because of the fact that you are frying your hair.

I used to dye my hair A LOT. I would bleach it, dye it, strip it, chemically straighten it, flat iron it...
And my hair is very very very curly, and thick...
I eventually just shaved my head. O_O; lol
To get back on the subject... If you do dye your hair a lot, give it time in between processes. And wash your hair with shampoo that is for colored/treated hair. Condition your hair a lot, keep it moisterized. ^_^

i straigthen my hair most of the time, and that means spending ages blow drying it, and then using the straightening irons.

It doesn't matter what electrical applience you use these days, there are a lot of products that can help protect your hair against getting damaged even more.

Sazzy I like your idea what could you get that will protect your hair when you straighten and blow dye it. Nothing though can protect it if you curl or color it though. Atleast I haven't heard of anything that could.
