You'd be surprised by the number of people I know in real life that have met the love of their lives on internet forums.

At any rate, forums are sort of like an extension of the physical body. In real life people meet new people, are attracted to people. The only difference is that on a forum is that usually the attractive qualities you find in a person go beyond the physical.
People dating etc may not be the main reason for some forums (at least not this one anyways) but things happen.

I've been banned once, it's not all that great. All because I had a bad day, or a conversation goes sour. Sometimes people get temporary stupidity when they're havin' a crap day or they feel like life is dealin' them a sh*tty hand. I was banned once along time ago. It was at Everything Anime, the board before this one. I didn't do anything wrong though, one of the mods really had something against me. On the bright side they got de-modded, for banning me for a day.

I have seen people dating on forums before, one was from Aus the other lived in England. I am not sure if they ever met each other, because they broke up and started dating someone else from that site. So it was kind of entertaining to watch. Then there was this guy that lived in Texas who met this girl who lived in England. She moved to Texas in with him and his parents. lol She was so ugly, like usually everyone has something cute about them, it was painful to look at the pictures she posted. I think it was out of desperation. Anywho, internet dating clearly does not work.

I think we have some great members. Here you can find people that have the same preferences as you, and there are links to places to get free anime (legal threads). For the most part AO has the best members, hands down.

i dont know. it does get annoying i mean more and more people are joining and they are less and less civil. i mean you do get some good new people but alot just criticize and poke fun at things.

I know of two people that met on a forum and got married, and I know of individuals that were married and decided to join a forum together.
Kinda. . . there are interesting people on forums.

I think that's a generational thing.
Forums have existed for a really long time. . . but it's only during this generation that you see the rise of so many social networks and other stuff that will keep a person glued to their computer screen.
Forums are no different in that these things tend to bring in people of a certain age group and most kids - teens in this day and age lack a lot of maturity, common sense, and NETiquette.
They join these things for fun ignorant of the fact that (usually) long before they thought even conceived of joining a forum there existed rules for how to interact with other members, posting, and the like.

Without looking at any of the posts at all, just the title, I wanted to just say: "Everything".
However, that would look bad. There's one. Assuming.
Some people think they know everything, know nothing, etc.
There's something 'wrong' with everyone, in my opinion. Not as in something insulting, just a littttle flaw like their insecurity or unhappiness. There's my two cents, I guess....

A little sense. There is only one flaw, because for the most part were all strangers, and if you don't know someone, you can't tell what is wrong with them. Strangers usually seem perfect, unless they are talking to themselves or something. Like for example if I asked you what you thought was wrong with me, I bet you couldn't answer it!

I think this thread was created more towards the lack of respect in some newer people for the forum anyways.
