Re: What's your dream job, and why?

Ok i would like to jobs and i'm not really bothered which to be honest. Dream job number one, a Lawyer, yes probablly the most hated most over paid (exception of footballers) losers that steal your money and never sort anything out. Yep, thats them in most peoples eyes. But if i ever become a Lawyer i want to actually sort out problems and actually protect the person i'm helping to make them not only feel safe and secure with there defence, but also to feel they spent their money well. Amazingly i want to be a good lawyer instead of a money grabbing pig. Ok so thats scenario number 1.

Number 2. I would like to be an electritionist. You get paid well and i'm quiet good with my hands, not great but ok. And this is with no training and with a thirteen year old boy so i may have possiblities, a last resort job if nothing works out, this is more reffered to as a side job is, a Breakdance tutor, just because i enjoy it.

Re: What's your dream job, and why?

Well my dream job would be to be a writer and a rich one, who doesn't have to be worried about money, can live in the deep country, get inspiration from his suroundings and write whatever he wants, whenever he wants, however he wants... It would be great, but that obviously aint happening, because I'm not that good... sadly...

Another one would be a psycho therapist... I like to help people and I understand people wuite well... It would be very nice... However, you can't really get a work in Latvia as a psychiatrist and I also haven't yet had any education in this, so it won't work...

Therefore I guess right now... I'll most likely be an accountant... I know many people find it boring. Other people find it dangerous... I don't know, I find it very good for me. I love maths and I'll enjoy doing it, I won't have to be a leader and I won't really have to consult other people THAT much (I'm shy)... it seems perfect and I'm going for it!

General surgeon. I've always loved hospitals, I love the environment and smell [creepy, sorry hahaha] But mostly a few years ago I had ALL these medical problems so I constantly visited the hospital and had an operation. I did want to be an RN but it later evolved into the surgery area.

Re: What's your dream job, and why?

The profession that I really wanted, all limitations aside, was to be a psychiatrist and work in a mental institution. The reason - Well, I know that every person has a desire to help others, but this desire to help differs in which group of people they want to help. For others, they want to help homeless people, for others, they might have a soft spot for abused women and children, etc. For me, what I had wanted to spend my life helping were the mentally ill, the people the society turns a blind eye to so often in my opinion. I guess this is because the mentally ill are commonly understood as an impediment and a bother; the severely mentally ill are people who can't conribute to the society and instead needs to be looked after by them.

I have a different perception of them, however. I have this secret fascination of them, an admiration, even. It wasn't so much as wanting to help them as it was also the desire to learn from them. Whether or not this perception of mine would change if I had actually worked with the mentally ill, I guess I'll never know now, because I have now taken steps toward another direction. I know my opportunity hasn't been totally extinguished, but under the circumstances, the possibility is very slim. I have no regrets in the choices I have made that have brought me where I am now, because I know that I only have to fully accept that my life is not entirely my own, and that living for others should be what fulfills me.

Cinlilly-> I have to say, Cinlilly, your dream job rocks! Haha, I don't know why I haven't thought of that before, I mean, yeah my dream job is to be a psychiatrist, but wouldn't be getting paid for doing absolutely nothing awesome? I'm imagining total freedom. Of course, me being a lazy person by nature, me wanting that kind of job comes as no surprise for me, but since I've never experienced myself as doing nothing for a job, I can't say if the boredom will kill me. Sure, it might go smoothly for some time, but the boredom will creep in eventually. I wonder if boredom can really kill?

I suppose a job that enables me to travel around world and explore a lot would also be kind of cool.
