Thread: What's you're favorite part of the holidays?

the best of the holidays is be with my brothers and sisters shopping for chistmas back to the old town where my mom lives and where we did grow up, is almost everyone here but one of my sister and a brother too used to come late so its pretty much the same!! with lots of my mom's hot chocolate and a lot of mess is great!

well... i really like holidays... all the stuff around it...

Myself, i hate the holiday season, its all a bunch of people being fake nice just because thats the way youre supposed to be this time of year. To hell with that. The original idea all of these holidays were based on was lost when commercialism jumped on and capitalized on the one aspect that everyone knows, buying gifts for people and getting them. I do enjoy getting free crap but who doesnt. I however hate the idea that you are expected to, no, i think that these things should be done for those you care about and given from the heart, not for the tradition. There is more to this hate than this, but this is the most obvious reason, and easiest to use as an outlet for my distaste of the holiday season and its fake face.

For me I love the togetherness of my family and friends. We have laughs and giggles ^^. the gifts are just added bonus for me but don't get me wrong i like presents as much as the next person ^^ (the kid in me ^^)

My fave part is the Reunion of our family and the giving of gifts to each other.

Oh, I am so cliché.

I love the whole package... The happy feeling of most people. Giving things to others. The holiday music. The holiday specials. When I lived in the Northern USA, I loved the wintry feel of the holiday season. No Winter here though (sighs).

Most of all, I love being with my family. I work all through the whole holiday season, but that is okay, so long as I am with them.

One of my favorite things in the Yule season, aside from christmas breaks and stuffs (Hurray, no more suffering!), I get a lot of presents and money! $_$ One more thing is that I get to celebrate it with my family and celebrate the birth of Christ! >< Though, it would be nice if it will rain snow here in the Philippines. o.o

Oh i LOVE the snow!!! I wish it would snow here as well!! It hasn't snowed here in 3 years. I love the snow because many people (who still fight during the hoildays) stop and look at the beautiful white snow fall and cover the world with a bit of heaven ^^. it's a beautiful thing and i love the snow because children make snowmans and have snowball fight. Christmas is the best time for people to NOT care about the worries they face during the rest of the year and relax with the people they love.
