I live in the USA, and sadly at least from where I am we do not... (though it sounds like a good time)
In the most areas of England, local pupils will celebrate Harvest Festival with harvest songs and poems in church, they bring in food items and donations as part of the celebration of the start of autumn.
The food gifts and baskets of produce brought in by the pupils have been given to the Sisters of the church, for distribution to the poor and homeless in local area, and monetary gift to contribute to a mix of local and international charities. such as a charity which supports drought ridden areas or the Pakistn Flood Relief.
However, I am very curious, in France or USA, there have the harvest festival still?

death and life are one and the same
Thank you for your reply, and I hope you have other stories to share with everyone. by the way, I just want to enjoy getting to know each other a little better.
we just have thanksgiving with the help of the Native Americans with turkey and corn before driving most of them to reservations.
USA doesn't have that, though it would be really nice if we did. We have Thanksgiving, like Desxms said and usually we have food donations around this time to feed the less fortunate. Personally, I think we don't need to wait to have a holiday to do so, but it's still nice just the same.
