Age difference is more important when your younger than when your older.

there really isnt much of a difference. it probably sounds weird to a 12 year old maybe because thats a larger part of their life and 2 years sounds alot longer.

Yeah it is. The puberty difference is huge.

The 12 year old is a preteen. The 15 year old is a teenager. The biological difference between the two is too huge.
