Thread: Would you date your friend's ex?

I have asked out one of my friends exes before, but he already had another gf so he didn't mind.

oh kool, yeah with guys well some guys it is different. With girls they get all mad and stuff so yeah.

I think it depends on the situation. like, what if the one that your ment to be with is a friends ex... are you gonna skip out on fate and ruin your life just to keep from hurting a friend?

yeah but what if you think that they're the one and their not and you end up screwing up your friend's chances of getting back with her? Yeah, it happened to me. Then he broke her heart and I hated him double for it. Now he's dating some girls 7 years younger then him and he's in his early 20's annoying I think so.

On the same note. If you're cool with it make sure your friend is so that you don't end up treating them differently. And for goodness sakes don't DON'T be jealous of your friend because you think that they are a threat to your relationship.

I've seen both sides of that fence. I've dated a friend's ex and she was the most amazing girl ever and we're all cool with it for the most part. And then I've had someone start stabbing me in the back so that he could get at my ex (not the same) who just happened to also be one of my best friends. Causing me to lose two friends until he showed his true colors to myex and broke her heart. Now I'm friends with her, and not him. So yeah, messy messy business sometimes it's worth it (believe me I KNOW that) but if you have to be sneaky or underhanded to do it then, it's not worth it. (which should be blatantly obvious)

umm well it really dpends on the sitution. me personally i wouldn't. i see anygain out of hurting a friend over a guy specailly say its a BEST FRIEND. yea no i will screw the guy. now unless me and him met all of a sudden like 5 years later or somthing then i guess its ok. but most definatly not like right after your friend just broke up with him/her. then they would think you are the reason for the break up. so yea.

My answer is no my best friend is a guy and duh! i am not so gay lol! no offense to the orthers out there but i am straight. and even if my best friend was a girl no i want our friendship over something trivial like this to fight on.
