I think I will always need something. I would love to work at a media outlet. I can't afford to now. But to be honest with you that is so fun.
Hello folks,
Most of us are probably ages away in our lives to even ponder about retirement, but it's still something to consider (I like to think...), as some of the decisions/choices we make now might and probably will influence long-term aspects of our lives. And I realize the definition of retirement is somewhat changing and could be varied among different people, but for the purpose of this thread, let's call it something along the lines of this: state of withdrawal from active working life or occupation during advanced years in one's lifetime.
Now with the questions:
[1] How do you plan on spending time in your golden years? Hobbies, activities, and such.
[2] What's your preferred retirement destination? And why that particular location?
[3] What is your personal definition of retirement?
[4] If you hope to pursue a part-time job in your retirement years, what will that be and why that line of work?
Don't feel obligated to answer all questions, but you will earn my greater love if you do. You know it's worth it.![]()

[1] I'm generally hoping that I'm able to 'function' properly still by that time, as I'd rather not age slow me down. Still wanna be having some fun with my life, like sports or traveling or even beating down some whipper-snappers in video games. xD Worse comes to worse I'll live a quiet and calm life in a retirement home. *Shrug*
[2]Like I said, I might end up traveling, and I would LOVE a motor home to traverse the world in. My parents want to do that when they retire, and the idea rubbed off on me for the better. ^_^; I'd go all over the United States, maybe even to other countries, and see the sights!
[3]My personal Definition is: A time after work, that varies, where a person finally gets some well-deserved R&R.
[4]I had never thought of this, but maybe I'd run some kind of restaurant or even a casino if somehow I could make it. I don't know why, maybe to leave some money off for any children or relatives provided that I am married and have the people to give it to. I'm a giver, what can I say? ^_^;

I plan on living my life how I want, and doing so comfortably. My husband and I will travel, go to concerts, and just relax and enjoy not having to get up at 5am every morning. (T_T)
[2] What's your preferred retirement destination? And why that particular location?
Wherever my house will be! I would love to live in Ireland - it's been my dream since I was a kid... But we'll see. I love it there... The food, the weather, the people, the drink :P
[3] What is your personal definition of retirement?
After working my butt off my entire life, I finally get to have time to myself and enjoy being alive.
[4] If you hope to pursue a part-time job in your retirement years, what will that be and why that line of work?
NOTHING! I don't want to work at all nada no way. Done. Retired = DONE.
LOL
My hobbies would be playing piano, reading, watching TV, and playing video games (which would be the funniest-looking thing ever XD).
I'd like to live somewhere in New England, though anywhere damp and woodsy would do. I love nature, so it follows that I would want to live near it.
My definition of retirement would be "The point at which a person discontinues work or input into his or her occupation voluntarily to live upon the benefits provided by his or her previous occupation or the monetary savings of said person."
Personally, I don't think I will retire. I'm a writer, and being a writer doesn't require much physical input. The only way I would stop is if I got bored of writing or just couldn't come up with anything to write. So I guess that could be considered as a "part-time job".
I've never thought about retirement, I always thought that it would be work for 60 years and then die. Boy, retirement will probably be a lot like my life is now.
1.- Travel around the world with my wife and maybe one of my niece. . .and living easy . . .
2.- Well . . . here, don't think in another place. . .i love my state, my city and my country.
3.- Rest . . . with that single word have my perfect definition.
4.- Jajaja, i don't know really. . . but maybe i'll do a simple job, like have my very very own store or something like that.
Ready, i answer all the quest. . . have a nice day!![]()

Hmm retirement hey ... that's a longways of im still at the immature age that i think i will live forever =] (btw im 17=P) but i think i would like a peaceful retirement somewhere epic like a mansion on the top of a mountain with amazing scenery, about part time jobs i would have hopefully saved enough to not need one for money reasons and i don't think i would need it for personally reasons of something to do, as for hobbies with my idea of the mansion i think it would be sleeping and staring lol .. oo i might hire a maid =] can think of tons of hobbies then =P ... but my own definition of retirement would simply be getting old past wanting to work or having enough money to just have no commitment and just live out your dreams =]
lol i think i answered all 4 questions so do i get some greater love now kedar =]
