    medal count contenders

    The olympic games are under way and the Russians and Canadians made some sensational claims. The Russians vowed to win over 40 medals. The Canadians have said that they are going to lead the medal count. Standing in the Russians way is math and standing in the Canadians way is history. The fact that the Canadians celebrated their first winter gold on their turf is telling but they are still in it have the potential to be a contender. There is more than enough time and talent for the home team to make up the discrepancy.

    I will say right now that despite everything I doubt either the Canadians or Russians will lead the medal count. I am not sure who will lead yet but I will say it will not be them.

    Well, there's one sport that we will win gold in, And that's Women's Hockey. Especially after we trounced Slovakia 16-0, breaking our previous record for goals scored in an Olympic game (Set in 2006 games against Italy).

    Mens is still in the air, but we have a very strong team this year. And as always, Canadians expect our two hockey teams to bring home gold.

    The next sport we're sure to at least win a medal in, but have a strong chance for gold is Mens and Womens Curling.

    The USA curling team is just painful to watch, they really do suck. I have been watching curling like all week, and they just lose every game. With the exception of the womens team who won a game, barely. Everything else US does pretty good in.
