    Parkour/ Free running

Parkour is not a sport but this is the most appropriate section for it. Parkour is the way of moving from one point to another in the fastest most efficient manner possible using only the human body in any given landscape. It is a French discipline that I practice which was founded by a man named David Belle. Free running however, is more to do with gymnastics and such. Free running is also parkour but it incorporates flips and tricking with it, in free running the runner has no actual set goal as where the traceur (practitioner of parkour) has a set goal as to where he/she wants to get to. If you practice or are interested in starting parkour please feel free to discuss and ask questions. I would like to keep this thread open for as long as possible.

I find parkour incredible to watch, negotiating an obstacle as swift and fluid as possible is an admirable goal to have, and a skill we could all use.

Cool, I wish more people would give it a try though. I currently finished my first year of training and it's been a great journey so far.

Is there liek a website for parkour or a place you can go to see videos of people who practice freerunning. It sounds interesting.

Well, parkour is actually a discipline not a sport, but it's a commonly made mistake so don't worry. But thanks for the reply.
