Are you supposed to STOP caring what people think at a certain age? What does age have to do with anything?
And caring what people think doesn't always equal insecurity.... It could just be plain ol' curiosity.

I would think, though, that the experience of moderating a site would sort of stave off ones ability to care. You already know -some- people are going to judge you based on how your actions to improve this site effect them. Like if you close their thread. You might as well take an aceman stance on things and be an apathetic bastardette (making up words is AWESOME!).

Although, ace totally had a whole journal dedicated to asking us what we thought of him... Perhaps no one is that apathetic. But it should still be a goal.. lol.

Yeah, I did want to get some feedback on whether people feel I have been to harsh on moderating, because if I didn't know that I was being that way, I wouldn't be able to change and get better. I know people are going to hate me because of something I said or did, or closed. I'm fine with that.

LOL That is funny, I didn't know that there was an age limit on asking what people think about you!

My question was out of curiosity, because if I really cared about what everyone thought of me.. well I probably wouldn't have put the negative options in my poll. ^_^ And if I actually cared then I would be all upset that you think am insecure! I just don't care enough about it to take it to heart.

I laughed at that, theres an age limet on how old you have to be that allows you to be insacure, I wish more people knew about that this way I don't have to deal with their own personel paranoya.


Like I said, its good to know where you stand with people, expecialy those you end up being around a lot, or in Zev's case, bossing around. It gives you something to reflect on and not so much something to be narcesitic about. Just because some one askes a question on how people feel about them doesnt automaticly mean they are insacure, they could be just looking for input on areas as to where a possible number of people think you are lacking or doing well in.
Plus I talk to Zev quite often, she is anything but insacure. And I believe she is doing rather well for a MOD.
