Other good 3d render program would be strata 3d 3.5 or 3.6. I suppose your could
get that free, I doesn't remember were I got that but it was free and kinda light to run.

Love hurts...trust me I know, I really do...

I hate to break it to ya, but those specs aren't going to handle 3d rendering very well at all. At the very least, bump your ram up to 512mb (but I would recommend to buy as much as you can afford). Most 3d rendering suites say they won't run on anything less--an debatable point--but never the less, more ram = faster rendering times because the rendered file will rely less on page filing.

Another very important point is your graphics card. If you plan on doing more rendering and art than, say, watching movies or playing the latest games, get a open gl card with the Nvidia quadro or ATI fire chipset--again with the most amount of ram that you can afford. These cards will take a lot of the processing load off of your PC chip (which is hardly capable of rendering in the first place).

    Re: 3D Rendering Programs

Not entirely true. Some of the best 3d programs require XP Pro (Maya for one), but there are other great programs, such as Lightwave 3d that will run on XP Home. Also, almost all of these programs will run with Win 2K.

Also, there are lower-end solutions out there, such as Poser (3d character animation - real easy to use, almost cheating), that will run with lower specs and XP Home. the good news about that program is all the anime mods you can buy for little money.
