I really don't know why Adobe didn't decide to go with Macromedia's flash document format. It was a superior document format, and didn't need anything special other then Flash installed to read files, while PDF requires something installed to read it (Unless you're on a mac). That and filesizes are smaller.

It's mostly because PDF, (along with its older format known as 'Postscript'...) is a standard Internet document format that predates the existence of 'flash'. Macromedia Flash is only useful in the context of a Internet Browser application, and is useless for a system without a graphical interface. For the old text only based systems, documents could be printed with just a 'Postscript' capable laser printer...

i down loaed adobe reader 9 and the message is still showing but just on the kaneva site maybe my version of vist isnt running correctly there is a new version out for vista that i will check out later though.

I don't know alot about this stuff but mybe it's just the program... sometimes it happens like that to me with itunes.... so mybe its just nothing but another anoyment in the computer... just a thought...
