Thread: Banned from a Website

Sounds like you got hacked, most likely by a friend...however try the following:

1) Run a virus scanner (Norton, etc..)
2) Run a spyware removal program (like Spybot Search & Destroy (google it))
3) Clear your temporary folder and cache (Go to tools in your browser menu bar and look under options...should be there somewhere)
4) Change your IP address (contact your ISP and get them to walk you through it)

i did no.1 found some viruses... but still the same... :/
going to no.2...

As a last effort contact YouTube's techs and they might be able to help you.

I will agree with the Chief about a friend hacked you, and the steps are the best course of action, but I think that you should talk to the techs before you change your IP address. other than that you have no choice in the matter.

Well how to say this... Hmm let's say you try to open a website,...and right after that the window closed and it shows a small notification bar saying

" You are banned from the site fool. The mods did not do this then guess who MUAHAHAHAHA" (and u hear a Muahaha shortly after that)

Well this happened to me... i can't open youtube @.@ is this some sort of a bug/virus? can any1 help me?

Sounds like a keyword virus. They shut down your browser (possibly even programs) when certain words are indexed or parsed. They started off as additions to more deadly virus attacks. They would prevent infected computers from googling words like anti-virus or the name of the exploit--hence not being able to find out how to manually remove the infection. These days these are considered mal-ware as apposed to a full blown virus. More annoying that anything, but easily fixed with a good anti-virus.

A thorough virus sweep should take care of it assuming your definitions library is up to date. Make sure to scan all areas of your drive and beware of downloading free stuff from the intardnet from now on.
